Travel Grants and Fellowships

Rose and Sigmund Strochlitz Travel Grants

Archives & Special Collections of the University of Connecticut Library supports the research of scholars, graduate students, and independent researchers throughout the United States and from abroad. The Rose and Sigmund Strochlitz Travel Grants are intended to encourage use of these unique collections and to provide partial support to researchers who must travel long distances to consult them.Grants are awarded twice a year to grant applicants on a competitive basis.

Billie M. Levy Travel and Research Grants

Travel grants to encourage use of unique materials in the Northeast Children's Literature Collection and to provide partial support to researchers who must travel long distances. Research Grants are intended for those researchers in the vicinity who need financial support in order to undertake a research project within the collection. 

James Marshall Fellowship

Fellowship encourages the use of unique materials in the Northeast Children's Literature Collection and provides financial support to a promising author and/or illustrator at the beginning of their career to assist him or her in the creation of new children's literature, to conduct their research in Archives & Special Collections.
