The Meadow Street station in New Haven, built in 1875, had closed to the public on June 10, 1917, in anticipation of the building of the present Union Station, which eventually opened on April 5, 1920. Here is one of the few photographs of the long, flat-roofed wooden structure that would serve passengers in the nearly three-year interim.
