Photograph of the Woodrow railroad station in the town of Kent, Connecticut, taken by Lewis Herbert Benton. [This information was provided by Robert Joseph Belletzkie: The unknown man on the platform is thumbing his nose at the signboard. Originally this Housatonic Railroad line station was named South Kent, then Lily Lake in 1913 and finally Woodrow in 1914 although it is unclear as to who decided to honor newly elected President Wilson. Rather than seeing this as a political statement or objection to the station-name change, events already some 17 years in the past, it has been suggested that the agent has given the visitors the cold shoulder, if not the boot. The photo was taken nonetheless.]
