[On front of photograph is written in manuscript: "With best wishes from Sister Louise of no. 201". On back of photograph is written "Louise B. Gaffney, Poetess of No. 201, B of RB." Photographer identified as Donnelly Portraits, 851 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT. "B of RB" = Brotherhood of Railroad Brakemen. Thought to be ca. 1889 because in photograph of Louise and Frank Flannigan on their wedding day in 1889 Louise looks to be of the same age and her hair style is exactly the same. In both photos she wears a ribbon and pin identifying her as the poetess of the brakemen's lodge of New Haven, Connecticut, no. 201.]
1889
