Description
Frame buildings, probably a farmhouse and its outbuildings, are located in grassy fields or pastures divided by stone walls. The small structure immediately behind the house, is probably an outhouse. Other buildings are probably barns and sheds. Trees to the left of the house appear to be fruit trees, possibly apple trees. Large rocks and rocky ledges are in the fields. Railroad tracks run on an embankment beside the Pequotsepos Brook. The Mystic River is to the right and the Mystic Harbor is in the middleground. Utility poles line the tracks. Additional buildings are on the far shore in the right background. Inscribed on back: "October 31st 1895. / Mystic, CT / Looking Southwest / from ledge near corner / of Dennison[sic] Ave. (Rt. 27) / & Williams Ave. (Rt. 1)."
