Description
Photograph album with extensive writing about the Housatonic Railroad, the New Haven & Derby Railroad and the Danbury & Norwalk Railroad, all of which ran in Connecticut in the 19th century and were merged into the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. The album was originally compiled by Stanley Massack of New York in the 1940s and was purchased by Allyn Fuller at an unknown date. Over the years the black paper that the photographs and writing are on deteriorated. Note that several spaces that should have a photograph within the scrapbooks are vacant. These spaces were vacant when the album was donated to the UConn Archives.
