Description |
Description
A highway bridge supported on concrete piers spans the Connecticut River. Automobiles and a truck are crossing the bridge. Guard rails and light poles line the roadway. A dirt road or track runs along the waterfront beneath the bridge. The small tower with the number "103" on it is a channel marker. Rocks densely laid on the bank may be a flood control measure. A barge with a crane is in the background. Leafless trees are on the East Hartford shore. Inscribed on back: "Cable Laying - So. Meadow 11-10-50 (for E. Htfd)"
