Description
Monochrome image of the Waddingham Mansion, formerly located on the corner of Elm Street and 3rd Avenue. The home was built ca. 1880 by Wilson Waddingham, a former day laborer and millionaire who was rumored to have gained his fortune from the discovery of a gold mine in the Black Hills of South Dakota. In this photo, a group of people are seen posing on the porch of the home. On October 16, 1902, the home was destroyed by a fire. Apartment buildings now reside at this location.
