Monochrome image of the Waddingham Mansion stable, formerly located at 630 3rd Avenue in West Haven, CT, part of the Waddingham Mansion that was located on the corner of Elm Street and 3rd Avenue. The home was built ca. 1880 by Wilson Waddingham, a former day laborer and millionarie who was rumored to have gained his fortune from the discovery of a gold mine in the Black Hills of South Dakota. On October 16, 1902, the home was destroyed by a fire. Apartment buildings now reside at this location.
